EInvoicePrivate is a set of browser tools for European e-invoices: open an XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, UBL or Italian FatturaPA file (also signed .p7m) and read it like a normal invoice, check it against the official rules, and create a valid XRechnung or ZUGFeRD PDF, an Italian invoice for the regime forfettario or a Swiss QR-bill from a form. The site is mainly in German, because Germany is where e-invoices are now required between businesses; this English page and the home page are the entry points for other readers.

How it works

  • Your invoice stays on your device. Files are read and checked by code running in your browser tab. The pages may only connect back to this site (a Content Security Policy enforces it), and each tool shows how many requests the page made to other servers.
  • Official rules, unmodified. The check runs the EN 16931 validation artefacts published by CEN/TC 434 and the XRechnung Schematron published by KoSIT, exactly as released. The versions are named under every tool.
  • Tested before launch. Compared with the official KoSIT validator 1.6.3 configured with the same rule versions, the verdict (valid / not valid) matched on all 2,184 test invoices, official test files and deliberately broken variants alike.
  • What it does not do. The site does not send invoices to anyone, is not a Peppol access point or a registered platform, does not archive invoices for you and gives no tax or legal advice.

Viewing and checking invoices is free and unlimited. Creating invoices is free for 3 new invoices a month per device. A Pro plan (unlimited invoices, saved customers and items, batch checks) is planned at €4.99 a month or €39 a year; it is not open yet, see pricing and the refund policy. The site shows no advertising.

EInvoicePrivate is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by KoSIT, CEN, FeRD, FNFE-MPE, OpenPeppol or any tax authority. XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X and Peppol are named only to say which formats the tools handle; the names belong to their owners.
